About the Brackets

Please remember this is fun. It is by no means statistically accurate by any stretch of the imagination. I have tried to be fair in the rankings, but there has been some subjectivity to it as well. Ranking are based on the average of five scores. The Amazon rating of the book(s) the character is in, the Good Reads rating of the book(s) the character is in, the Audible rating of the book(s) the character is in, a 1-5 score (the subjective score) based on the criticality of the character to the stories they are in, and lastly an adjustment score from the previous years ranking. No character is penalized for not having a score (i.e. there were a fair amount of books in early 2023 that didn’t have an Audible score at the time, or they are new characters that haven’t been voted on before). Based on those scores the characters are ranked 1-N and from there it is ran like a regular bracket.
